Hey guys! in the mile high here!

What's up guys I was a member on here a few years ago and had to make a new profile (maybe they clean house every so often) just wanted to see if there were any other reptile enthusiasts in the Denver/ Boulder area

I am in the Brighton area. Probably not going to the show since I didn't know there was a show…….and I'm working…...

Which reptile shop do you go to (if any)? The only one in Brighton is Petsmart so I have to go to Scales N' Tails in Thornton off 104th. A lot of people tell me that Jurassic Pets is the best but i think they are over-rated. There employees are all too young to even be in high school and when I asked for a mouse hopper, they gave me a rat adult.
Im just throwing around my opinions. Im trying to give as much help as I've received on this website

    2.0 Red Clawed Scorpion

I think the owners' kids run the store. Yeah, they're pretty uneducated for the most part. The only one I know who gave me good information and knew what he was doing was the oldest one, but I was definitely put off by all of his friends that were hanging around just following everyone around the store. It was hard to tell who worked there and who didn't. And I saw a guy come in and say that his friend was on vacation and was taking too long to claim his rabbit, so he surrendered it to Jurassic Pets and I was just... irked by that. They had a really good selection of pets & supplies, and when I was there it looked like they were taking care of their pets (though I heard recently that they had a bunch of rainbow boas in a tank with no hide).

Have you tried Feeder Frenzy? I've heard good things about them too. Also, if you join the Colorado Reptile and Feeders page, other people have pretty good recommendations.

I've heard many good things about Scales N Tails in Denver, but the location in Colorado Springs is... icky, to say the least.

Oh, and, my husband and I will be at the reptile show.

Yeah, the guys at scales N tails about…..3 miles down 104th from Jurassic pets, they are awesome. I know a guy who once sold his corn snakes to them (he is a breeder). They know what their talking about. I can totally get what you mean about now knowing who works at jurassic and who doesn't. I will admit though that the older one who is always behind the counter DOES know what he is doing (or he would if he ever got out from behind the counter). I went to the jurassic pets in Lakewood once. There only one old guy working there by himself (unless there was someone in the back) He was not very helpful and he kinda whispered. I also like Scales N Tails because they have young Chameleons right now and usually have a reptile roaming free through the store or on the counter.

I haven't heard of feeder frenzy. Ill have to look em up.

Watch out for the colorado springs Scales n Tails location, animals with IBD were recently diagnosed at that location.

Being close to Boulder I go to Aqua Imports, nice small mom and pop looking place. Sounds like only fish bu they have a large supply of reptiles, amphibians, and arachnids. Very knowledgeable staff and it's and nice to pre pay for my feeders!
