    Re: Any suggestions?

Thank you. It is all kinda overwhelming at first. And it's so hard to do any good research due to conflicting info on the web. I have found that every thing I read on here seems to be excellent info. I really want to get a real snake inclosure so things will be a bit easier. Actually there are a lot of things I want to get but money's tight so it will have to come as I can afford it. I just want to make sure my baby boy is happy and healthy. I really like to have him where I can see him and show him off. Anyway, I'm rambling on. Thank you again everyone for all the help, info, and support!

    Yep I get it LOL!

If my wife would allow it, I'd have everything facing my side of the bed in the bedroom. That will NEVER happen.

Don't sweat the caging just yet. Lots of options and some pretty affordable stuff is out there. Once you have the thermostat, you can do almost anything.

So if I put the wrap around background and kinda fill the tank with greenery and maybe some driftwood, would that make it a little better for him? Make the tank seem smaller.

    Re: Any suggestions?

Ok guys and gals. I did a few upgrades to Strikers home. I got the dimmer for the UTH. (Still trying to figure it out). Got coca soft for substrate. New digital thermometer and humidity gauge. Smaller hide over UTH. And changed the rocks on the other side to make it a smaller hide. Still have lots planned. I figured since the tank is so big I would get some stuff to fill it up and make it feel smaller and more natural. Also putting something on the sides and back. Really considering building a real enclosure.

My immediate concern is the large, loose rocks. I'd ditch them or find a way to cement together to avoid injury or worse. He's probably safe now but when he puts on a little more size and goes to wedge himself into that hide he could easily dislodge the top piece.

    Re: Any suggestions?

I thought about that so tried to place them where they were solid. But you are right. I will change it this weekend. I plan to get some new stuff when I get paid and a new hide for that side will be priority. Thank you for looking out.
