    Draco

Well, this is the first positive thread I've posted but I can finally say I have a healthy, happy snake! I got my first normal BP over a year ago. My boyfriend bought her for me, and we named her Lily. She died 18 days after from IBD. It really sucked; it had been a very long time since one of my pets had died, and we both really loved her even 18 days in. It was very quick; she showed symptoms one day, then died that night. We kept the house snake-free for 10 months or so, and finally picked up a new snake. This one was a normal as well, and was maybe 4-5 months old. He did well for about 2 weeks, but the night of my birthday he had a prolapse. We found out that he wasn't actually a healthy snake, he had a prolapse before and hadn't been on a normal eating schedule for a couple of months. We decided to return him (and also to get him immediate attention from a reptile vet). I had never given up a pet before, but we wouldn't have been able to keep up with a snake like that.

I found our third snake almost 4 months ago. Meet Draco

This last picture is special because he did something very bad after I took this picture. He hadn't pooped in a few weeks and he finally let it all out a couple days ago... on the couch, on the floor, and on my boyfriend. Thanks for reading

Draco looks great! I like his pattern. Good luck with him.

Sorry to hear about your two previous snakes. Shame on whoever sold you the prolapser without warning you... but if you got them from a pet store, I'm not at all surprised.

Draco is a handsome snake! Love his colors and pattern. So sorry about your first 2 snakes though. That was not a very good introduction into the snake world.
