Jas This Ever Happend To You While Feeding????

Ok. So it was feeding day today. Every one ate very well LOL!

BUT... I fed my Pinstripe. What happend was she struck and missed. She then laid emeditley laid down completly still. I was a little confused and watched her for a solid 10 seconds. Then I was getting worried as she would not move. I poked her with the rat and she seemd to snap out of it. She then struck again and nailed it!

Do you k ow what happend? Should I be worried?

She missed, the prey is less likely to return to striking range if she's moving around. Aren't instincts cool?

Not at all, as said by John, she will lay still so they prey will come back into range and also so she can prepare herself for another strike. My adult male done this with me a few weeks back.

Has anyone had their snake miss more frequently than once every 6 months? Ive just noticed during the last couple of feeds my male misses his first strike more often than not. Just found it odd. he always strikes again and finishes his meal tho.

Yeah mine has missed a few. Make sure the head is really warm and so it knows exactly where to strike.
