    My beginner's breeding group

I don't have anything super fancy or amazing in my collection (yet), and the most I paid for any of them was 100 dollars, but I'm still happy with them all and excited to actually get a start on breeding them! My ratio is a little off right now, but I don't have any particular breeding plans for my normal male, so I'd say it kind of balances out (he was a rescue and my second snake, I'm keeping him). Pardon the image quality, I somehow managed to find a group of very active snakes that don't like sitting still for very long.

    The girls!

Miranda, my only breeding weight female. She's just a normal, but she'll be the mom to my first clutch, which makes her special to me. I had a choice when I first saw her, but I liked how dark she was compared to the other snake I was presented with (I like darker snakes, go figure)

Amber, a het albino who is quickly becoming one of my favorites. She's a racer, and it's a miracle she was still long enough for me to snap this picture of her.

Zelda, my cinnamon. A very shy girl, here's hoping she eats tomorrow. Can't wait for her to get up to breeding weight.

Georgette. My lovely mojave girl, who I find precious.

I'm on the fence about my last "female", since it's very possible Kirby (my normal juvenile not pictured) could actually be a male, damn my luck. On to the confirmed boys!

    Gio, my lesser bee.

    Edward, my cinnamon pinstripe

Chase, my normal male, who is my biggest male.

My current breeding plans will be to pair Miranda and Gio, hopefully before the end of the year. I'm hoping for a female lesser bee, or at least a nice female spider. Other acquisitions I would like to make would be a male albino pastel soonish (probably after I produce a clutch of eggs), and a handful of other more expensive genes after I've established that I can successfully breed my pythons and not just drop eggs in the bin (my greatest fear). Other future pairings are fairly obvious, super cinnamons, BEL's, I like the look of the chainsaws, etc.

    Anyway, just thought I'd share.

You have a very nice group. Its all about what you like, I think you have a group that you can be proud of. One of the favorites in my collection is a normal female.

Got her from a local breeder I found on craigslist. I live down in the general dallas/forth worth area, there seems to be a lot of people selling here, but I'm actually not finding too many more cinnamons. Think I got pretty lucky with mine.

Edit: I do love her pattern, particularly the striping down her back. I can't wait for her and Edward to be up to breeding size, I'm really looking forward to what they could produce! Enjoy some blurry pictures of her dorsal spots and stripes

    Nice looking group.
Be aware with your breeding plans, that if you pair two cinnamon carriers, you can get deformed offspring (super cinnamons) that could have "duckbill" jaws (black pastels, a similar acting gene, can also have this). I believe the supers are more prone to this and kinking also.

I also have a cinnamon girl in my collection, but haven't decided what male to acquire for her when the time is right.

Sammiebob- I purchased my cinnamon from "special k reptiles" I got her at a show. Cinnamon doesn't seem to be as popular a gene as black pastel, so you may have a harder time finding one.
