That's fairly common. My calico female will strike anything that goes in front of her hides when she's in ambush mode. I have similar cave hides. I lift the hide straight up and then towards me so I always have it blocking me. I never reach inside or hook a finger in there to lift it either. Once she's exposed and knows it's me she's a total sweetheart and loves to explore.

Thanks for the tip I have never had a Ball do that , my Baby King Bit me one time out of fear . ZI will change to the way you say And we will be all happy, after he is out in my Hands He's a real Sweetheart .

My Bumblebee had his second meal with me that is he eats like a rock star . I always really worry about Baby Balls not eating so after mealtime I can relax. Love my baby Bumblebee.
