I used to use the hot water method but my snakes are picky and prefer there to not be wet even if you place them in a baggy they prey can still end up dripping wet which may be turning your little one off to eating it. Using a hair dryer also gets the scent of the food really flowing around the room and should entice him to eat since he knows food should be coming. Yes, you can just leave the rat out at room temp for a while until it's completely thawed then use the hair dryer to get it nice and warm. When the prey is small it takes only a little while for it to thaw completely. Once the rat feels limp and you can feel anymore icy/cold areas the rat is ready for the hair dryer

You can give him some time to build up an appetite and feed him again this Sunday if you offered last Sunday. It's good to have a break period between refusals since offering food too often can stress the snake out and lead to more refusals.
