    need a new substrate..

Okay so my snakes are all jammed in my bedroom. I use newspaper for some of the snakes which isnt a problem. But for my pinesnake and bullsnake I use about 4 inches of shredded aspen bedding, they are messy, poop twice for every rat they eat so newspaper doesnt work. But the smell of the aspen is killing me. I hate it and it makes me sneeze.I could get away with it for my sand boas because they have small cages. But the pits have very large cages and use "alot" of bedding. What can I use that is easy to clean and they can roam around in that doesnt have a strong smell, can be spot cleaned and absorbent for all the messy feces they put out.
My thoughts are cypress mulch(which I cant seem to find) or
Carefresh that would cost a ton. Any other ideas?

You might try some of the paper bedding they have for rodents.

I thought about that but isnt it expensive? Im covering two 4x2 (16 sq ft) cage floors at least 3 inches deep.

If you get the right stuff its quite compressed and comes in different colors. A little goes a long way.
