    I think a lot of people do, but you could do just fine without. Some of it comes with experience on knowing how big to feed. But a scale lets you know for sure what's going on.

    Oh ok..I just do like Sonny says, I guess I have done it long enough I can just tell visually what size I need for a particular snake
