My Blood's set-up
Well I recently acquired my first Blood Python and I'm extremely happy about it.
My gorgeous male, Benito: https://www.flickr.com/photos/994481...n/photostream/
[copy/paste from old thread] Benito actually started off at a different home, a friend of mine had just gotten him and something unexpected happened. He had to move back somewhere but couldn't bring his Blood Python with him. So I kindly took him off his hands, he gave me his set-up which is a glass tank which I plan to replace immediately.
Well he has been rehoused into a 28 qt Sterilite tub with Cyress Mulch as the substrate. Also got a UTH w/thermostat, the temps in the tank range around 83 to 85 degrees. I also have a repticarpet on the hot side to keep the UTH and Benito from direct contact, since he likes to burrow.
Here's Benito in his tub: https://www.flickr.com/photos/994481...n/photostream/ Left Image is the cool side and the Right Image is the hot side.
My buddy had trouble getting Benito to eat F/T so he hasn't eaten since I got him, I plan on waiting till Tuesday before offering him a Live mouse and then slowly will wean him over to F/T if he wants to that is.
Anyway, sorry for the ramble. What do you think of Benito, his set-up, and any other helpful tips.

It looks good but the log wedge you have are not good hides as they really do not allow the snake to hide. I would replace it. The rest looks good.

Thanks, I'll probably take out the log wedge and do a little modifying to the entrance. Benito does use it as his entrance to one of his various burrow openings. Could usually see his head poking out the back of the log wedge, But I will take it out for now.

If he is burrowing and using it as a door I would leave it. I setup a burrow hide once and used the wedge that way. It worked great but my snake loved the hide so much I never saw it anymore and it was hard to get it out when needed. The log wedge by itself is just not a good option.
