So I bought a new girl last week and got her on Friday and was told she was in shed. Saturday night, she was out of her hide and I noticed that her old head/face skin had broken open but that the rest of her body still had the old skin on it. It's now Monday evening and she still hasn't sloughed off the old skin. This doesn't really seem normal to me, though I could just be worrying. Anyone else ever deal with this?

Soak her in lukewarm water for about 10 minutes at a time at least once a day for a while and see if that helps. If one soak does not get it off easily, it sounds like she was kept too dry for too long while she was getting ready to shed, and it will likely take several soakings and extended high humidity in the tub for her to get her skin back to normal.
