Found This Guy under a bed in my house

I woke up this morning to my dad yelling that I let one of my snakes out. Confused, I ran into my room (I was asleep in the living room) and checked all my cages and they were all locked, with their animals in them. Even more confused I ran into my dad's room, and poking out from underneath the bed was a snakes's head. It was a lot skinnier than a ball python head, so I assumed it was a corn snake, because it obviously wasnt a rattler, which are common around where I live. But the thing is, I dont live anywhere near where you'd find wild corn snakes...I went to pick the little guy up and he didnt protest he seemed to be at home in my hands...He was really skinny and needed some food, I felt bad just taking someones pet so I walked around the neighborhood asking if anyone lost him, when I got to one of the houses near by I saw a cage, a lamp, and all the things you would see in a hobbyists set-up, on the porch, but there was no top on the cage, and the lamp had been thrown off. It looked like they had tried to get rid of it and when i knocked no one answered. So, being prepared as I was, I set him up in an extra cage i had lying around, with some Aspen bedding, and an extra hide I had, and the bigger of the two water bowels I had. Set him up, went to the pet store got him a mouse (he was really skinny, like underfed) and a steady supply of heat. As soon as I dropped the mouse in this little guy was on the prowl, after a bit of a struggle figuring out how to get the mouse in his mouth, he was trying to eat it sideways, the backwards but eventually he got it. I keep checking on him and he seems to be adjusting alright, hes real sweet. My girlfriend was holding him while i set up his cage. He's about 4feet long and looking a lot better, being hydrated and fed. Just thought I'd share my crazy story, and his name is Andrew Jr. cause he was hiding under my dads's bed. I can't figure out how to include pictures, so I'll include links to my INstagram soyou can see him,can someone please explain how to include pics for future reference? http://instagram.com/p/rfy2KwQqKG/?modal=true http://instagram.com/p/rfbpKRwqOt/?modal=true http://instagram.com/p/rfYaBdQqIH/?modal=true

Good job rescuing him! Definitely looks like a corn snake and sounds like he was a pet for sure.

    Wow, what a story!!

Make sure you don't feed too much too soon. Go easy on her/him with the feedings. I'm sure you're already doing this, but just in case it was forgotten: quarantine!

Congrats on the new addition assuming of course you may be keeping her/him. It just knew you had a way with snakes, and so it made its way to you.

Yea I Quarantined for a bit, checked him and cage out after a day, saw no mites gave him a bath, put him back in cage, no mites so now hes happy sitting alongside my ball pythons cage and on the shelf below my boa hes real sweet, the weird thing is I never thought of getting a corn but I definitely love this little guy.
