    hes a she

So I rescued a ball about two months ago that I was told was a male. Come to find out its a female. The way I found out it was a female is cause I stuck my hand in the cage as I always do and got bit cause she's protecting her eggs. Yes I said eggs. Lol. It was really unexpected lol. I need some help from someone with experience in this area. It will be my first time. Lol.

Oh Man! That's one heck of a way to find out. I know you posted about an incubator, but maybe since it happened as a surprise, it might be better to maternally incubate? or find out if there's anyone local to incubate them for you? do you know what she was paired with?

Yeah I was thinking of maternal incubation after reading a forum on here sence I don't have everything I need or experience at the moment. I have no idea what she was paired with. Hope something cool. Lol. I really need to mark the eggs and check to see if their fertile but she's really mean right now. Lol. As far as I know this is her first clutch sence the guy I got her from thought she was a he. Lol. Any advice u can give me on how to get her away from the eggs so I can check them would be great.

Where are you? Maybe someone here is local and can incubate them for you.

Did you breed her...? I know you said you literally just found out it's a female because of the eggs, but was she in contact with any other BPs? Because if not, they are just infertile eggs.

I don't know much of anything about breeding though! I just didn't see it mentioned anywhere so I thought I'd ask.

I got her from a guy not that long ago. I don't know if he had her paired up with something or not. She was already egg bound when I get her.

Well egg bound means the eggs were stuck and she couldn't get them out on her own, but you can candle as soon as they come out..they look fertile though, congrats! I'm excited to find out what she gives you in 55 days
