Re: A taste of my Pied projects.

I know the urban camo just happens to show up in the super pewters , do they get the pied look because they are het pied or is there something else going on? There's not a lot to research on this so I would appreciate if you could give us a quick recap ? Also the original pairings, when it proved genetic through offspring and where your at now with the project, and last if you have proven then het for pied!

It also has shown up in Silver Bullets. We have hatched a few of each since 2010. We believe there is possibly something else going on because of the Vanishing animals we have produced from Pewters and Sterlings. Since 2009 we have produced a lot of Pewter het Pieds and it is definitely not just the Pied gene causing the Vanishing patterns. We attempted a Vanishing to normal this season but the female was unreceptive all season......plus we moved smack dab in the middle of the breeding season.........during the coldest week of the year.........in an ice storm.

The Urban Camo was proven het Pied in 2012 and so far one of the Silver Bullets UCs. We have also hatched a few Urban Camos 100% het. We have one more small clutch due to hatch with the possibility of more UCs and we are about 9 days away from our first Pewter Pied x Pewter Pied clutch hatching.

You sir are the man! Thank you so much for taking the time to write that post! Wow what a cool gene ! I can't wait till we all know more about this abnormality ! Let's hope the "urban camo" gene can be singled out eventually ! (When I say urban camo gene I mean what ever is causing the vanishing affect)

    Wow and Wow

I am still at the point of growing my Pied, Axanthic, and Lavender Albino females so I can produce my first double hets. I have such a long way to go to get some nice pythons like those.

Can you give me an idea how much these are worth for males:

    1- Panda Pied
    2- Creamsicle
3- Axanthic Pied (can't call it Lightning Pied because I'm using VPI Axanthics)

    Congrats they are awesome.

Learning is not attained by chance. It must be sought for with ardour and attended to with diligence.

That a great start. I'm going to begin working on Toffino and Banana Pies this coming season. Luckily I have plenty of combo and het combo girls to go around. I have more Pied and het Pied animals than anything else and I'm not changing direction. I have some DH Ghost Pieds that should be ready this season.

As far as value, that is a tough call considering how volatile the market has been for the last year. Prices are all over the map and since I don't have my hand in any of those projects I'm not the one to ask. I do have the potential of hatching a Super Cinny Pied in about a week.....Pewter Pied x Pewter Pied. I think there are 9 different possibilities from that breeding. It should be very interesting.
