Haven't had her long, she is is 548 grams. So, not very old. My other snake that has not shed yet is also going into shed at the same time, nothing to worry about? I was wondering why they both were refusing food, going into shed explained that at least.
Re: Is it normal to be shedding again only 6 weeks after last shed?
Hate to hijack the thread but I have a similar concern. I have a 2500 gram female (unsure of age) that has been bred this year but doesn't seem to want to ovulate... however, she is currently entering her 3rd shed cycle in 4 months... is this normal? Should I still keep hope for eggs? (she was bred from Jan to June, temps were lowered in November and raised again in April. )
Age and growth play a big part in how often the snakes will shed. Breeding also makes them do funny things. I wouldn't worry about them shedding often, to me that's a sign of good health and growth. The earliest I've seen was a female that had just laid eggs. She had her post lay shed and 2 weeks later she was back in shed.
