    That moment...

...when you realize you're going to have 9 snakes in the QT room and only 4 in your collection room by the end of the month.

Collections are meant to grow, right? I must be doing it right.

Yes collections are met to grow. My collection has grown to the point that. When someone asks me how many snakes I have. I have to do a mental head count. I don't have a problem. I can stop anytime I want to. I just don't want to.

It's at that point that we realize we sound like alcoholics

Personally I prefer to QT one critter at a time, or multiples if they're from the same seller. It's easier on my wallet, and if one of the new arrivals does pop up with mites or gets sick, I don't have to worry as much about all the new arrivals being affected.

If those 4 are in quarantine with the ones you just added, you still need to now quarantine again.

I appreciate the QT concerns, everyone. If I didn't mention QT, that would have certainly been the first response. I did mention QT, and I still got the responses. I guess I have Schrodinger's QT room.

The first new arrival went into QT at the end of June. The last of the new arrivals will go in by the end of July. The QT clock is starting fresh as soon as the last of this group gets set up. They will all stay there until getting clean bills of health (no matter who I received them from) and are completely separated from the four girls I've had since joining this forum (hence "QT room" vs "collection room").

I've had multiple QT threads bookmarked for quite some time, and am following as many best practices as possible. I guess what I'm trying to say is that there's no need to be overly concerned. I over think things enough as it is.

    Thanks!
