    Piebald deal?

I have been wanting to get into pieds for a little while but I've been waiting for the right deal to come along since I can't spend a fortune on them. Today I found a 2012 male pied and a female het for $600. This sounds pretty decent to me, my issues are that the female is only 150g so It's gonna take a few years before she's big enough to breed and my other issue is the male is very low white. Does this seem like a good deal and does anyone know if his offspring will also be that low or is the variance of white completely random??

If you don't like that he's a low white, I personally would wait until you find something you like. Pieds are all different, just because the male is a low white doesn't mean that his offspring will be low white as well. Hope this helps!
    I've got quite a few...

    Re: Piebald deal?

You are right to be hesitant to add the female and male at the same time, as the girl will take 1.5-3 years to mature while the male is sitting around waiting for her to grow up.

The price itself sounds in line with what I've been seeing recently.

As far as high vs low white in pieds, it seems to be random in the offspring. Low whites can produce high white babies and vice versa.

    Average deal,
low white pied's can throw high white offspring.
you can find similar deals so do some searching and see if this ones the best.

I just paid 600 for an AWESOME(IMO) pied female at 350g, a proven breeder pied girl and a pastel get pied male hatchling from repticon. The deals are to be found! Wait til u find exactly what you want and what works for ur budget! I promise it'll be worth it.

Dont mind if I show off a bit...

Thank you for your opinions. Its worth mentioning that the seller only lives about a half hour from me so that eliminates the cost of shipping. My primary concern was the male being so low white but from the sounds of it that doesn't make a difference Do high whites tend to sell for higher prices?

It's seems that higher white pieds do go for more money. If you're satisfied wih the low white on the male that you may add to your collection then I say go for it, just don't settle if he's not what you'd like to keep in ur collection and I think you'll be just fine

Generally speaking, yes - not too much of a difference though. There are lots of people that like low whites and there usually isn't trouble selling them.

That is a great deal and an amazing looking snake. Ive been to several Repticons and I've always gotten pretty good deals there. Don't know if I'll make it to another one soon though cause of nursing school.

Ahhhh I see. Nursing school doesn't leave much time for anything let alone traveling for snake shows lol
