Some updated pics of the enclosure. I just fed him so of course he decided to retreat to his hot spot. I finally got rid of the dimmer and got a thermostat also. For the blacking out the tank I sprayed the back and sides with plastidip. I think it came out awesome. I also did our beardies tank the same way. What do you think?

Looks good! i was going to do that with my tank some time ago, until i got a rack and just HAD to fill it up =).... As for soaking, as they've said its only if there is a lack. Sometimes they'll sit in it just because. But other times is its too hot aswell. If hes not soaking and has a perfect shed. Simple you got perfect husbandry
