My ball python is confusing me..
My pinstripe hasn't eaten since I got her about 4 months ago, but the other day she pooped and now she is going through a shed... Is that normal for a snake who hasn't eaten?

Yes, they can still shed and defecate even when they aren't eating. It will be infrequent, but it happens. Make sure temps are in ideal ranges and that the habitat is secure and suitable for the snake. A lot of open space can stress them.

Mine did that once, it was ravenous afterwards.

Not to long ago mine just shed and turded before ending a 6 month hunger strike.
A few days later he finally ate.
Hang in there, she'll come around real soon!

She ate!!! It has been a long 9 months but she has been taking live for a few weeks now.
I hope I didn't jinx it.

Similar stories it seems , my female Albino went from Dec to Aug without eating but didn't look any different or lose any weight .Then I moved her into her old , smaller , viv , out of necessity as I needed her larger viv for a larger snake . Anyways , it was just going to be a temp move for her BUT she ate the next day , then the night afterwards when I was just freshening her water she bit me thinking it was food and she ended up eating another mouse that same evening .So she's staying in the smaller viv for the foreseeable future
I've had a few instances with Royals going over 6 months not eating but it's something that doesn't bother me now and shouldn't bother other ANY Royal keeper .
It's just a pity so many new to Royals don't realise what SOME are like .
