I basically assume the animal has come into contact with other animals I can't examine so there needs to be an extended period of monitoring to make sure no unpleasant surprises are incubating inside.
So should breeders that do shows quarantine all the animals that didn't sell that weekend? Two weeks later, they are off to another show. Sometimes to another state. It sounds very risky to buy/sell at a reptile show

A lot of breeders do quarantine snakes that have been to shows etc if they are going back into the main collection.

I know I will once I start setting up at expo's. Who knows what snakes the person now handling your snake had. Even though they use hand sanitizer, better safe than sorry. I just got caught up in the moment of taking his pictures and put those 2 with him and didn't really realize it till later. To much excitement
