Stuck shed
Hi guys. Had my 1.0 lesser ball for about 4 months. He has shed twice in this time and they were both bad sheds. They didn't come off without assistance. Today, trying to remove his shed, he bit me. I then just fed him (because I'm going out of town this weekend) and left him be. I don't know what to do. He is at 60 humidity all the time, he has the right temps, i don't know why he is having bad sheds. Any suggestions?

What are you measuring humidity with, what type of gauge?
Are you misting or boosting the humidity at first signs if a coming shed?
You can place your snake with a damp towel in a tub. It will crawl around and as it does the damp towel will moisturize the stuck skin and the towel will gently pull it off.

Re: Stuck shed
From a less newbie now but still a newbie....if that makes sense....take it from me. The stuck shed thread about the soak and towell treatment is very well written, easy to follow, and will clean your snake right up.

humid hides are a good solution. basically a nice hide or hide box and you put in sphagnum moss.
damp towel is similar. but BPs like these humid hides where they have their damp sphagnum moss and can hang out.
EDIT: i would say the "bad shed" thread is more geared towards fixing a bad shed, and a humid hide is generally a good idea and will help with humidity and all future sheds.

The Big Bang almost certainly (beyond reasonable doubt) happened 13.7 billion years ago. If you disagree, send me a PM.
Evolution is a fact, evolutionary theory explains why it happens and provides four different lines of evidence that coalesce to show that evolution is a fact. If you disagree, send me a PM.
One third of the global economy relies on technology that is based on quantum mechanics, especially quantum electrodynamics (electron-photon or electron-electron interactions). If you disagree, send me a PM.
Time Dilation is real, it is so real that all clocks if they are precise enough can measure it, and GPS could not possibly work without it. If you disagree, send me a PM.
The 4 philosophically most important aspects of modern science are: Evolutionary theory, Cosmology, Quantum mechanics, and Einsteins theory of general relativity. Understand these to get a grip of reality.

Re: Stuck shed
Well since your humidity isn't too low you can mist the enclosure when they go into shed. But you can also just wait for them to go from being in blue stage of shedding to the clear stage which means they will actually begin to shed very soon. You can mist the snake a little bit once he clears up and that will moisten the skin so it will just slip right off. When I was using glass tanks that's what I did and got perfect sheds every time.

I am using a zoomed hygrometer. I am not misting because last time i over misted and he got a small case of scale rot(which is gone now . The problem with you're idea is that hes got all of it off of the bottom and top, but near his neck and his sides is where it is stuck.

I don't know how you could cause scale rot by misting. That sounds like flooding. Using a spray bottle a few shots a day is all you should need.
The tub should still work but you can also use the towel and just hold it and allow the snake to crawl through the towel while you offer just a tad of resistance with your hands.
You can also add damp moss to your hides to give more humidity where your snake stays the most. Damp, not soaked. You never want your substrate to stay damp for days.
