How long have you had him?
how long since his last meal?
    Are the husbandry correct?
Any extreme change in temps recently?
Anything new with his enclosure (moved to a new room, new substrate, etc)?
Anything new with his surrounding (new pet in the house, more noise than usual, etc)?

There are number of other questions I can ask but BP going off feed is absolutely normal. Again, this is assuming all else is up to par. I'm sure other members will chime in but first and foremost, check his temperatures and surroundings. Other than that, you have an average BP like the rest of us. Good luck..

    Re: Ball python wont eat

My snake was off feed for quite a while.. It worried me, until I thought of an extremely easy and simple solution. Here's how you do it.
Get a box that is small, but not too small. It's okay if all four-corners of the box is up against the snake. Snakes feel more secure and satisfied in a smaller, more secluded area.

After you place him in the box, turn out the lights. Turning out the lights will make the snake even more secure, and will stimulate how and when he would eat in the wild.

Lastly, just drop the mouse/rat in and wait for him to eat.

Good luck, and I hope this helps.

    Re: Ball python wont eat

As for why he's not eating - that's a profound question, honestly. There are many reasons why a ball python decides not to eat, all or most of which Tarzan152 listed. Just try the method I stated above, and it should work.
