First snake handling.

I got my very first snake a few days ago. Normal Bally python and I'm curious with how to handle her. Any time I try to put my hand in the tank slowly and touch her she runs away and her nervousness makes me nervous and I don't know what to do.

It just scares me ive always loved snakes and wanted one and no joke touching her was the very first time ive held a snake and at the store she was so docile and she still is but she seems like she doesnt want to be touched.

You are actually kind of lucky.
Your snake is attempting to flee rather than threaten and stand his or her ground.
Just gently slide your hand under her or him and lift as it makes its' "escape" and let it "run" from hand to hand for a few minutes.
Eventually the snake will figure out that you aren't trying to eat it or injure it and it should settle down.
Try to give the snake a day after feeding though without handling. BP's aren't notorious for regurgitating but, why induce stress right after feeding if it isn't needed.

Give her a few days to adjust. She is in a different home and does not quite understand what's going on. Wait at least a week and let her get used to the surroundings. She will come around, it just takes time.

If you be relaxed and you let the snake move between your hands, you'll not have problems.
Be relaxed and try to bring the snake from the middle of his body and when the snake is between your hands, he/she know what he/she has to do

Of course wait a few days to do that, she has moved home, so she can be nervouse

Thank you all I really appreciate it. I'm going to give her some time to calm down and acclimate to her new home. And it's definietly giving me a little more courage knowing me and her are both scared but will eventually grow on each other!

In Feb when we got our first one I was pretty nervous too. He was sooo nervous that first day that he struck at me. I let him relax for about a week before getting him out again and I bought a hook and used that for a little while. It helps them relax and you can set them in your hand. I dont need it anymore at all. He is just nervous. After a month or two you will be more relaxed ans shouldnt need it either. Good luck!
