    Late Season

Anyone else having a really late season? I'm only breeding three this year. Been pairing since October 1st - no ovulations yet. Anyone else having similar luck this year?

I will say that I have two of three that look promising. Hopefully I'll have an ovulation or two in the next month.

As of today my season is done, I had an early run. Only bred 3 this year and the third one just popped today. All three within 14 days..from zero to done. I feel like a kid who waited in line for hours to get on a ride and then the ride was done in 20 seconds.

And I feel like that kid who's been in line for 4 hours with storms rolling in threatening to shut down the ride!

I'm so ready for someone to ovulate!

My first clutch pipped last week, and the second clutch is due in about 10 days if the dam's last shed was her pre-lay shed. That's all I paired last year.

My first female was due on the 2nd, still nothing. Wondering if the Polar Vortex is responsible?

    Re: Late Season

if you don't cool down your breeders i think there is no season,I am pairing 17 females this season from october 1 and I have only 4 females to lay eggs and one was ovy couple days ago, some of my females from last year stop locking last year in february and lay in jul so i think we have a lot of time, good luck!!
