Need a picture with better lighting, weight might also help.
A belly shot might explain the flames going on.

He's ~800 grams.
I'll get more pictures tonight, head and belly especially.
Thanks!

The lightning is not great, and one trait that helps distinguish super vs single gene pastel is how blushed the head is, which is hard to see in this pic.
Knee-jerk reaction was lots of blushing and the blacks aren't as black as dark as one would expect in a single gene, but the head, from what I can see of it, doesn't look as blushed as I'd expect in a super. Is there any possibility of other genes confusing the issue?
I suspect better pics will make it much more clear.

What seperates a Super from a regular pastel? I just recently aquired one and will be breeding her, so I will def tell, but she is a lot brighter and has a lot more blushing then a buddies Pastel.

Re: Super or regular pastel?
Pattern is saying 'Super'
Colour is saying 'Could do better'!

"Super" is the term often applied to an animal that carries two alleles for a specific gene so in this case a Super Pastel has two alleles for the Pastel gene where as a regular Pastel only has one. This is a basic run down of how it works out.
Pastels can be highly variable though, some have heaps of blushing where others are pretty much just black and yellow. And of course, you can also get every other combination of blushing and colour and pattern in between.
As for OP's snake, I'm thinking it's a browned out Super Pastel but more pictures would be a good idea still.
