First clutch of the year: Brianna

Brianna laid right on schedule yesterday, and I was lucky enough to be there to witness it. She was bred to one of my granite males; I'd like to hold back a nice granite and/or black back. But nonetheless, my plans aren't what you came here for.

    On to the egg-making.......

    5:40 pm I discover Egg #1

6:10 Egg #2 is laid (Sorry no pic for this one. She was positioned wrong for me to see anything.)

    6:25 Egg #3 is laid.

    7:00 Egg #4

    7:20 Egg #5

7:55 Egg #6 is laid, which at first I think is a dud but it turns out this one does have blood vessels despite being misshapen.

8:45 Egg #7 is laid which looks the best out of all of them.

    Brianna with her full clutch

All 7 eggs are viable and in the incubator. Temperatures have been steady at 89 degrees for 6 weeks prior to today. Now we wait......

Way to go, Brianna! I should get 2 more clutches this year. I expect Kay (Normal x Fire spider) to lay around June 1 and Fiona (Fire x Fire spider) to lay around the end of June.

    Thanks for looking.

I think egg #1 is going to be infertile. It's looking really bad and its veins are not developing like the others.

The others are also candling kind of a peachy orange color and B1 is candling yellow.
