Molt or is he dead

Just checked on my P irminia sling and found him like this is he dead or is he molting??

I can't really tell but just keep it for a while. Either it will molt or it's died.

Would make sense if its molting its been hiding for a few weeks now and it used to always be out for the first month i had it just scared me when i checked on him

When tarantulas die, their legs generally curl underneath. Sure you didn't just find your P. irminia's molt?

That was the only thing in the enclosure. Pretty sure hes in the process of molting asked the same question over on the arachnid board

In that case, I'd give em some peace and quiet for a bit. This is absolutely when your T is most vulnerable to injury/death.
