    burmese breeding

i just got a normal female burmese python that's about 6 and a half feet long. and i also have a male albino burmese python that's about 3 feet long. and i was just wondering what size do the male and female have to be so i can breed they, and how to breed them and tips. I've owned burms in the past but never breed them. so any help would be great. thanks.

    Re: burmese breeding

Basics - when a female adds girth and not length. She's ready. When a male is around 6' or so he can be ready usually after the first 18 months of life if fed proper and housed proper. With burmese when the air temps drop a slight degree females may go off feed. When they go off feed and are mature. Put in a male that is ready and breeding should occur. Once you've witnessed multiple locks watch for the signs of ovulation and you're good to go. That's the giss of it anyways.
