female bp weight - no increase

hi guys. the way i understand it, females are supposed to gain weight during building and ovulation despite not eating.
this female was more than 2000 grams when she started refusing food. it has been fasting for over 2 months now, and her current weight is at 1996grams. she is ovy in this photo, but i know that ovy does not mean good eggs, so i'm a bit concerned about the female not gaining weight and in fact loosing a little. to those who have experienced this, would it still be possible to get good eggs or is there high probability of slugs?

thanks for the quick answer Jon. looking back, i realize it's silly of me to ask wheter it's possible to get good eggs. i should have asked if there is high probability.

Why would she gain weight without eating? I'd expect it to drop based on the increased metabolic rate to develop the follicles, so I wouldn't worry. Especially since, she hasn't lost much. Good luck!!!

Those were my first thoughts. But i had to ask because the bp breeding articles tell me to expect off feeding and monitor weight gain, i also asked a local breeder and he said he has low success on females that do not gain any weight. I'm very glad you guys are here to clear things up for me.

    Unhappy

It's been over two weeks now, she already shed. But the thing that concerns me know is her obvious decrease in girth. She's even smaller now than while she started building. Weight is down to 1950. I tried palpating but i do not feel any obvious eggs. There's a lump right about where i expect eggs to be, but it doesn't feel like eggs, just a lump. Like a rat, but she has not eaten. I'm not too happy right now.........
