Thanks Smitty. I was struggling with the linkage.

its still a very rare and very expensive morph, and the basic version doesnt look impressive, you need to add a few morphs, and then you see the different morphs being expressed in different places.

but i agree, if its just an ivory, you can be quite certain that its a random thing and not genetic.
Yep, just an ivory. The line I got the parents from is pretty paradox heavy but it has not been proven genetic.. And that's not for lack of trying. I definitely wouldn't keep her with the intent of producing another paradox.
Actually, I would think the genetic "slip-up" that causes paradox in ivories is more likely to happen again with the pair that produced the paradox and not the paradox itself.
    Thanks for the links!

If I hatched out that purty gurl, there is now way she would ever leave my possession. Ever. Unless something drastic happened that forced me to get rid of my collection, and then she'd likely be the one favorite I'd keep.

If I didn't hatch her, but managed to obtain her somehow, I would still most likely keep her, but I know it wouldn't quite have the same specialness as a baby I hatched or my first snake.

Ivory and pied are 2 of my favorite morphs, and that beauty pretty much is both at once. Can't beat that!

I believe that that the theory behind paradoxes are chimeras, correct (where two embryos fuse early on in incubation)? If so, I would wonder about the genetics it would pass on. There is no guarantee that the ovaries have the genetics of an ivory or something else. If it's not a chimera, then forget everything I just said.

no, chimeras are much more rare, i guess you get thousands of paradoxes before you get one real chimera. in a paradox, its just one individual with one genome, but in some areas the genes are not being expressed like they should.

    If you keep her...

We should breed her to my boy. I have an adult female Paradox Ivory, but she only has a few spots. I did not produce the female, but did produce the male, from what was supposed to be a Spectre male. This is my male.

I have gotten a few people that want to buy him, but I really want to do Paradox X Paradox at least once...

If I were you I'd definitely keep, I'm very jealous! If I breed my ivory boy next year and get an ivory paradox I will cry haha
