Making a wine fridge cooler. Some questions.

I am still at least a year away from breeding, but I found this non-working 50 bottle wine cooler for $25 and couldn't pass it up.

I am considering how to add heat. I have about 4 feet of 6" THG heat tape that I could use, but I'm wondering if that would provide enough heat to a wine cooler of this size. Outside dimensions are roughly 39' high x 23' x 22'.

If that is enough heat, how should I run the heat tape. I was thinking about running it down the back, but the back isn't straight down to the bottom, it has a big ledge/bump at the bottom, I assume where the compressor is housed.

I was considering running it down one side, along the bottom and up the other side, in a U shape, but it would only come up about a foot on either side, would that be ok? Would heat reach the top? I can add computer fans, but am not sure about what the best placement of those would be either. I will definitely add water bottles, probably to both the top and bottom.

Any help would be great, thanks.

Here's a picture of the one I made. You can just run the tape along the back. The tape you have should be fine. The cooler is very well insulated and you are only bringing it up to between 87 and 89 degrees depending on what temp you decide to incubate the eggs at. Best of luck on any future projects.

Ok, I see what you've done, you have the bump on the back too eh? Would I be better to get a shorter strip of thicker flexwatt? I know I can get the flexwatt locally, but I have to have the THG shipped (not cheaply).
