When To Cut Back On Feedings
Hey guys. I have an almost one year old (I'm guessing) male normal. He was 741g last week. He eats 1 adult rat weekly, but I guess I was wondering when I should put him to 1 every other week? gUsually, he doesn't ever refuse a meal, although he did last week due to shedding, which is unusual for him. He ate one today though. Just wondered. TIA!

Okay thank you. I know some people do every 2 weeks or so and I wasn't sure why.

Re: When To Cut Back On Feedings
Well, I feed my girl every two weeks. She dosent like to eat weekly but she's doing fine at 470 grams at nine months eating small rats. She's proportionate and she's not fat or skinny. She's been eating small rats for about three months and is about 2'9" and growing well.

I offer every 7 days from day one till day last. They eat when they eat, and they don't when they don't. No reason to lose sleep over which ever one they choose to do.

If he's 741g and you're feeding an adult rat you can probably wait 2-3 weeks between meals. Unless your adult rats are smaller than the ones round here.
