    Black Eyed Leucistic Color Question

    Hello,

I purchased a black eyed leucistic (super fire) this past year and she is doing great. She is eating and growing excellent. However, I have a question about other colors that can come out as they age. I know patches of yellow are normal, and some have more than others straight out of the egg. However, she seems to have developed some gray scales near the tail and was wondering if this is normal as they mature. If this does not typically occur; is it possible (but unlikely) that she is a paradox? Since the gray areas appeared she has had a good shed and the coloration has stayed exactly the same, showing that it not ink rub off from the newspaper substrate. I will post some recent pictures and the last two show this area the best. Any input would be helpful. Thank you

Alrighty, guess I have a "weird" one, lol. It will be interesting to see if anyone else has noticed this occurring in super fires. Thanks for the reply.

Re: Black Eyed Leucistic Color Question

I recently got a Blue Eyed Leucistic and he has sort of the same thing. He has not shed yet I'm curious if it will go away. I will keep you posted if it stays after shed.
