After feeding behavior
Does anyone else's ball keep their head poked out of the hide box right after eating? I seem to remember my first ball always staying completely hidden for a few days after eating. This guy ate an hour ago but wont fully hide and is keeping his head poked out. Is that something to worry about or am I just a wee bit paranoid? Thanks

Neh, your guy is fine. Some of mine will do that once in a while. Don't forget that he's a living thing so his behavior will change from time to time

Both of Mine eat, then drink, climb the branches in the tank, then do the 1/2 hide thing.

It could be a strong feeding mode. Your snake really has no idea why a rodent suddenly fell into his little part of the world, and he doesn't know when it may happen again...from his perspective, it pays to be ready.
I've had some that stay in feeding mode for hours after they eat, and some that just want to go to the warm side and digest.

That makes perfect sense Slim . He was out hunting before I put the mouse in and it took no longer than 3 minutes for him to find it and strike . So he was definitely in a strong feeding mode last night .
