Ball python stopped using hide?
My ball python has stopped using it's hide and now pushes behind it I between it and the wall of the cage. I keep the UTH at 90 degrees and ambient a around 80. She recently had a stuck shed but it is has been removed.

Re: Ball python stopped using hide?
Sometimes they'll wedge themselves between the hide and side of the cage assuming a few things:
1. It feels more secure that way.
2. More heat exposure.
3. Hide is too small.
4. They don't like the hide anymore.
5. The snake felt like a change.
I'd say leave it in there for 2-4 more weeks and if he doesn't use it and/or stops eating, it's probably time to make a change of hide box.

My fire does that all the time and also uses her warm and cool hides. I think she just likes to have some variety

My bee does this. It's fine as long as the hide you offer is large enough for the snake. Lots of people don't even use hides in racks. You did not specify, is this in a rack or aquarium?
