See I'm afraid if I do that, they'll cease communication alltogether. Then it'll just get more complicated

That is ridiculous. They are basically stealing money and giving you a 'lesser' product.

Definitely try to get some clarification on what exactly they are doing and ask for a full refund since you don't want a lesser.

And I suggest posting on the BOI as well.

Why would you accept a cheaper product at the greater price and be ok with it? Especially after they have treated you like they did already.

Seems this has happened before, at least once that we know of, and BHB made it right. Their quality control has actually decreased from a kinked animal with a couple mites to this writhing worm on death's door. I believe in giving people the opportunity to fix situations but BHB doesn't seem particularly interested in doing that here. Maybe if you posted on the BOI like the above person they'd be more amenable to making this right.

Re: Ball Python Shipment arrived...PLEASE HELP

BHB hasn't really been on my list of breeders to look at thus far, but this entire situation has made me rethink dealing with them in the future. I'm sorry your baby had to go that way. There isn't an excuse on BHB's part. There just isn't. A lesser for a mystic isn't a fair trade and communication could have (and should have) been greatly improved throughout this whole situation. Brian fell through here. It's a shame, because all I hear are good things about him as a person, but his company dropped the ball on this, and it will reflect on him by default.

All I have on my mind is why is someone with 35 posts is so quickly believed?

Mike was hung in the gallows for posting his experience with LLL and a necropsy was DEMANDED of him.

I'm all for double standards and everything, actually I'm not.

I can't personally believe this thread til a necropsy is done proving long term damage.

I'm also going to make an effort to notify Brian about this thread, at the very least he should be given the opportunity to defend himself.

Also a good point, Kodie, thank you. I'm for facts, and a necropsy is really the only thing to determine fault (or lack thereof).

Just curious, what kind of experience do you have with bps? How old was she and how much did she weigh for you to say she was "very underweight"? And if you're new to this, a "severe" head wobble in your opinion, could be mild in a veterans opinion. Please do NOT take this as me insulting you. Please, Don't. I'm not trying to start a fight. I'm just curious, and feel it's a fair question to ask since you're newer to the forums (but maybe not new to snakes or bps, idk).

Tsk Tsk, skipward... You're ASSuming the snake had neuro issues before it was shipped. Wilomn wouldn't be happy! Don't make him upset. He may be old but his aim with the bottles all the way from the front porch is rather impressive!

What did the vet say for the reasoning to euthanize her?

Yea I'm honestly really surprised that people are taking the OP's side so hard and Brian hasn't even gotten involved at all yet... Everyone is believing someone who is relatively new to the forum. What if they're feeding us all a big fat lie? Once again, not trying to insult the OP at all. I'm just playing Devils advocate and really surprised everyone's acting the way they are.

OP- I feel for you and know what you're going through. I recently purchased a kingsnake at an expo from a bigger name in the hobby. It died after only ten days in my care. It really sucks when the breeders policies don't allow for a resolution that would make you happy as a buyer. Please know that not all breeders are like this and that online transactions don't usually end like this. If you wanna shoot me a PM I'd be happy to give you a short list of people in the hobby that I've done business with and/or can personally recommend. They're in it to make hot snakes and happy customers, not money.

Re: Ball Python Shipment arrived...PLEASE HELP

Many of us have the same list style of breeders we've worked with or want to work with, as well as folks that are more local as opposed to the big leagues. Me, I like to support small business, so that's who I keep an eye out for. Lots of people would totally be willing to discuss their favorites and why, as well as folks over on Fauna, since that's what the BOI specializes in.
