First ball python, Little worried on behaviour

Hi there last thursday i bought a 5 month old ball python. The first few days were great but i was also worried about the humidity since it is very low here in canada alberta. Its only at about 30% so ive started misting once a day and added moss in and around her hide since i can tell she is starting her shed since her eyes are greying out. Wednesday was feeding day which she successfully ate. Ever since even today (saturday) she opens up her mouth alot sometime only about an 1/8 of an inch sometimes a full yawn. But it is pretty frequesnt. Also she seems to keep her head and mouth upright and on top of herself when rolled up in her hide so she has easy access to open her mouth if needed. Her mouth does seem a little pinkish/redish when she does this which is why im worried about an RI but there does not seem to be any mucus or saliva. This is my first ball python so i know nothing about their behaviour and if this is something about her shed but im still worried. Please let me know your thoughts Thanks

Some BPs do what I call the "Ball Python Yawn", they usually don't do it as frequently as you say yours does. Might be a good time to bump up both the heat and humidity. Bump up the heat just in case you do have an RI coming on, and bump up the humidity to help with both the possible RI and the shed. Might also be a good time to switch to paper towel for a substrate, just to keep things a clean as possible.
