    Body Temperature

Hello guys, I have my hot spot at 91 degrees and cool spot at around 80 degrees. I was wondering, what is the ideal body temperature for ball pythons? I have a heat gun that shows the temperature of the cool/hot spot and when I point the laser at the ball python, it shows 85. Is that the temp they need? Thoughts?

As ectotherms, their body temp is the same as their environment. So as long as your temps are within proper range (80-90), you're fine.

I've always found my snakes to regulate themselves to around 84-86 when I check with the temp gun.
