    Underweight woma

My woma was kind of a rescue snake. When I got him he was very sick, he was wheezing, had a huge gash in his side, and refused to eat. I got him on kingsnake.com and I was not aware of his sickness and did not know he would not eat. I was aware of his cut. He was pretty cheap so I bought him. Now he is no longer sick, eats well, and his cut is gone. He was about 2 when I got him so now he's about 4. The problem is that no matter how much I feed him he is not gaining weight and is kind of skinny. I am feeding him about 4 mice a week. I plan to get a female woma and breed them sometime so I am trying to keep him well fed and put some weight on him. Since he is currently eating mice, I am thinking of switching him to rats. Any tips or suggestions?

Parasites maybe? Could explain the not gaining weight. A vet check might not be a bad idea
