    That must have felt good

So earlier today my snake looked very bloated and I read up on it and realized he hasn't pooped in a month, and he had a few hard spots in his stomach. So i decided I would message his belly like I read and after 20 minutes in the bathroom nothing happened so I went back to my room from the bathroom and right before I put him away I figured i would give it one last try so I lightly grasped belly and top at the mid section and lowered slowly ... Seconds later he lifted his tail and I was only about an inch down from where I started and all I hear is a giant fart and it scared me so bad like I jumped and I looked down and he passed so much poop urine and urates and was still continuing to poop.. Don't forget I am currently in my room ... I couldn't even be mad because he passed the poop and the hole time he was so great he looked to enjoy the massage the hole time, he was still and very calm ...

So I'm reading causes of why he could of been backed up .. So my conclusion is bc the humidity has been low ! Its cold and dry in NJ lately so its been hard to keep his humidity above 25-30 . So i put a damp towel onto of the enclosure almost 3/4 of it and added moss around the tank and in his hide , he seems to love the moss always burrowing in it and hiding, My ball python has loved to burrow since day one so I'm pretty happy with the adding the moss , he looks like he enjoys it a lot all day today he was very active moving around in it and burrowing

You could also just make a humid hide for him.

Another thing you can do without actually massaging it out would be to let them sit in a tub of warm water, it usually gets them to pass. I tend to do that when I notice their tail looks like its about to explode so that the mess ends up in a tub of water I can dump into the toilet vs me having to clean it up in the cage. A little bit more work, but keeps the cage cleaner for a longer period of time.

Ya I read the swimming gets the digestive tract to move faster hence causing them to go to the bathroom, I just didn't have a clean tub around to put him in so i decided to massage him thinking it wouldn't work well it did, it worked very well , before poop he was 195g after he was like 180g
