i could understand decreasing the temp at night. But to give him no heat at all. Not good. They are cold blooded, you know that, right? They rely on you to keep them warm.
the only reason I can see your snake is forever in its water bowl is mites. Obviously not heat, cause you don't even keep him warm at night. I leave my bulbs running 24-7. In use a double dome. I put a day bulb in one and a black light bulb in the other outlet. I keep my tanks warm all day every day and I still use UTHS
A black light? Snake rave? I use no heat lights or UTH mwhahahah..

On the hot side my temps are usually around 90...but I provide branches & a tall rock cave so she can bask right under the lamp if she wants to (she never does)
She did spend all her time in the cave before this water dish obsession. Temps on the cool side is 70. I'm thinking she probably needs another hide on the cooler side, I have logs but she can't really hide.
At night we keep our house at 70 & like I said I keep the UTH on & just turn the basking lamp off so she has a day/night cycle. I was going to use a night light but read UTHs were better.

Your cool side temps are low. You definitely should bump them up to at least 75. But I'd suggest 78-82. The UTH only provides belly heat. You need to have proper ambient temps throughout the whole day. I'd suggest a CHE on a dimmer instead of any lamps or night lights.
Also, BPs don't need to have different temps during the night.

I have one snake ( Spider) that usually goes in her water dish about every other month just before she sheds. She is in her water right now NO mites, no UTH, no hides, no bulbs on any of my snakes. All in tubs. Never have any problems with her or her sheds. Don't get me wrong, I am looking into changing things around, but this has and is working for me. Just using room temps steady around 80 degrees.
