    Feeding day!!

Today is feeding day for both my BP's i have them on a 5-6 day eating schedule. But Ecelon who is a Spider Ball is getting ready to shed he has an ashy look to him, colors look dull he hasn't gone blue yet. Would it be okay to feed him before he turns blue or wait until the whole shedding process is done. His first shed was a excellent one i boasted the humidity and after the blue cleared up placed him in the tub for warm bath everything came off in one piece.

You can try feeding him while he's in shed. Some will eat, some won't. A lot of people offer food while the snake is in shed. You'll learn which of your snakes will eat at this time and which won't.

Some people don't offer at all. I'm one of them. It takes the guesswork out for me (they definitely won't eat, because there is no food). They can easily skip one scheduled meal and they eat as soon as they shed.

I feed FT so it works out for me better since there's no wasted rodents. If I was feeding live, I might offer them while in shed, since I can just take the rodent out and use it later if they don't eat.

I guess in short, this is personal preference all the way. You can offer or not offer without any negative consequences either way, and after a few tries, you'll know which way works better for you.

Go ahead and try to feed him. Leave it up to him if he wants to eat or not.

Every snake is going to be different. My normal female is a garbage disposal and has never missed a meal in 2 years. My lesser hatchling on the other hand refuses every time he is in shed. Once his shed is complete he goes back to being a pig.
