Shedding problem
Hi all,
I have a small BP female (about 6 months old) with shedding problems. She had a mite infection, that seems to be under control now. The problem is not just that some part of her body is not shedding, but the entire shed is still on (head, eyes, body, everything). I have been increasing humidity in her cage through frequent spraying, I have tried soaking her in water, but the shed is still on. None of my other BP have any problems with shedding so far. Is there any advice?
Thanks & greetings, Michi

Have you noticed if she has even tried to begin rubbing the shed off of her head yet? She might still be waiting for a little bit.

If literally nothing has shed, why do you think she needs to shed?

Re: Shedding problem
Hi guys,
yes, she has been rubbing against the substrate and available hiding places. What makes me concerned is that her eyes are not just turbid as usual, but they look more like turbid cracked glass.
Cheers, m

Better question-- Has she even gone blue at all?

Yes, her eyes were blue last Saturday (good things I'm taking notes).

Sounds like your humidity is still too low. Can you post a picture of her?
Instead of a soak, you can put her in a warm damp pillow case. Let her slither around for an hour and the shed should come off.

Thanks for the advice Nikki! The snake partially shed over night. But the head and neck region still appear to be a problem.
