Re: iPhone Question: battery life
Definitely turn the brightness off on your iPhone. I only turn mine up of I can't see the screen on a really sunny day or at night but your eyes will eventually adjust to the lighting of your phone. I can leave my phone on for days with the wifi on as long as the backlight is off and it won't die. My phone battery only went all the way down once because I let it lol. Literally just turn your brightness up all the way for like 5 minutes and see how fast your phone dies. With it off the battery goes down so much slower.

Its funny you say that.
Today my phone was back to sucking again. Was at 37% by lunch break and then shut off on me. I tried turning it back on and it was telling me it needed to be charged (like that screen). I went home and researched a bit and decided that the S4 mini looked pretty good. I'm going to verizon tmrw after work to see about that phone.
Its all fun and games until i have to spend a half hour lunch break without my phone... Some people may think it sounds like im overreacting a bit, and i probably am. But this phone pissed me off a lot. Unless verizon has some secret answer to my problem, i'm forcing myself to switch to android for good this time lol.

I have never bought one, but I have known people to buy them for other phones and never heard a complaint. I guess its just personal preference, if you don't mind the phone being heavier you can get a lot more life out of one charge. Your phone has a 1440 mah battery and is also used so not at 100% compared to new, I just googled a random battery case for iphone and it was 1700mah, so using that you should see well over double the life. Also take into account that the bigger the battery, the heavier it will be.
Apple's auto brightening is actually works better imo, you can select auto brightness and adjust the base brightness 1%-100%, then it will dim using that number as the base, not just click auto and your stuck at a fixed number. I keep my phone at full brightness just because I like it that way, but I still think android should have the ability to do it.
i guess i'll just have to get used to the keyboard lol. And download that camera. It was all good until the phone decided to die with 37% battery left. It shouldnt have even been that low to begin with anyways, but thats besides the point. I'm not very tech savvy and i HATE change but that crap was NOT cool and pissed me off lol

Re: iPhone Question: battery life
Once you android, you never go back. I don't know what the size difference is but it has to be substantial to give it the title mini.

I've never actually used one, but the moto x has gotten huge props in the tech world for being the best out of the box user experiences, worth checking out if your thinking about switching. If you don't like the keyboard, give swiftkey a try.

Come to the android world... I hate change too. But I don't know how you couldn't love it.
If nothing ever changed, there would be no butterflies.

It says online its 4.7". Too big. People look at me funny when i complain but really the #1 reason i got rid of the s3 was bc the screen size was too big. I hated it.
The iphone 5 is 4". The s4 mini is 4.3". I can handle that much extra. Once it start getting closer to 5", the phone is just too big of a screen for me.

I got the stock 4.3 android camera, 4.4 doesn't work well on the s3.

It would be a tad smaller than the s3, but not much. I can comfortably use the s3 with one hand, once I cant do that then I'd say it's too big. Which I'm thinking might be somewhere around 5in for me. But that's the great thing about "fragmentation", plenty of flavors to choose from.

I just put slimkat (slimrom android 4.4) on my phone and like it so far. Haven't taken a picture yet.
