Shed help
Ok I have a 2 year old male pastel and is very healthy now that I have him. Extremely docile and forgiving. So the question is he was in shed on feeding day and I waited until he was finished 3 days later and family was coming in and was hectic and fed 2 days after shed and he of course ate no problem. Well it's 4 days and he seems very active ad on the hint so to speak so should I wait or offer him another meal? I give 1 small rat FT a week . And I got a awesome shed on piece and it got laminated for a keep sake haha. Any help would be greatly appreciated as he's my first snake and I'm ordering a emerald tree boa that should be interesting . Thanks folks

I stick to my schedule. If one sheds a few days after feeding day they don't eat until the next feeding day.
I think that's what your asking.

Well sort of. Looking at my notes he ate on Friday went into blue on Sunday shed on Thursday he didn't eat again until Friday he went 4 days after scheduled feeding and I fed him and now he seems very much on the hunt maybe its his new hide as he's grown maybe he's exploring I guess he'll be fine until Friday I must be a worry wort so to speak he was shedding in little pieces when I got him and I've now got him looking like a brand new Cadillac and shedding whole skins thanks I'm just new to snakes and thought he would be a great learning experience and I did my research before taking him and have now ordered a emerald tree boa so hopefully that will work out well I thought about a retic or maybe a carpet but heard they're quit nippy so I'm gonna try my boa for my next unless you know a better solution

As long as your feeding appropriate sized prey stick to your schedule.
Have you done any reading on ETB? They can have very nasty attitudes. They are no beginner snake. They need a well experienced keeper that can maintain the high humidity they need and are much more sensitive to temperature changes than a ball.
What type of cage are you going to house it in? You should have it set up well before you get the snake so that you have it dialed in.

Re: Shed help
I had the set up , up and running for over a week and everything seems to be normal and up to par so to speak as far as the attitude from reading and researching I found they're some what a nasty attitude but bit as bad as a gtp but hey I probably won't be handling much other than feeding and cleaning and vet purposes so a good set of hooks are being shipped as I write this now maybe ill get a docile sweety or knowing my luck a nasty mean irate defensive aggressive specimen either way they're awesome eye candy

They are beautiful. I will have one one day. I have actually handled one that while it had a bit of an attitude it would put up with me some, it was great.
I used to have a biak gtp that was a demon. After dealing with it I hope to never get another like it. Just trying to clean or change water became an issue because it would go out of it's way to tag me. The aru gtp I have now is a dream compared but even he has tagged me when he is having a crabby day, but it is rare. He is usually a really sweet boy.
Are you using a rhp in the cage?
