My concern is that even in the first photo where she is on the newspaper (above the one where you are holding her), her jaw is not closed properly, so it is not a question of how she was being held. This may have nothing to do with breeding, prior health issues, or the length of QT (though I do not condone a 30 day QT). If she somehow damaged the inside of her mouth while feeding, the naturally present bacteria could have taken hold and developed an abscess or this may be swelling from a less localized infection. Regardless she needs medical intervention (and probably heavy antibiotics) at this point, if that swelling gets worse it could compromise her airway, or the infection (whether URI or abscess or whatever that is) goes systemic, she could die.

Re: Line down belly???
I would like to thank everyone for the advice for my snake but I am saddened to say that she passed away last night. This is hard for me to accept because I put everything into them for their health and care and this is my first one to die on me.
RIP SPIDER HET ALBINO

I'm sorry for your loss: I would highly recommend a necropsy. Since she was paired and in direct contact with one snake and not really QT'd from your other 70 snakes I think it's a MUST to find out why she passed and if she had a illness/disease that all your other snakes could have now. Snakes need to be put in the fridge, not the freezer, for a necro. Some vets will also allow you to overnight the body to their office if you cannot drive so that may be an option too. Good luck: I hope for your other snakes' sake this was an isolated incident.

That sucks and I am sorry.
She had something going on so I would also getting a necropsy to determine IF you have to worry about everyone else or not?
These things can happen quickly, that is the reason for such a long QT time.
I am sorry again and hope this is the end of your problems.

I would try to get it done by a herp vet if possible. I am not sure a regular vet would even know what to look for. Sorry for your loss.

Some of the exotic vets do them by mail, you'd need to chill and fedex the remains.
