I bought my first male pastel for $250 18 months after this thread. In the thread somebody seemed to think that $600 for a female pastel was super cheap. I guess the prices being discussed really did drive down the market. I have some lemonbacks that I hope to breed next year and have some babies in 18 months (along with a blkEL if I'm lucky) and won't offer them super cheap but also won't ask a high price. I honestly keep my animals for the fun and not the money. Breeding rats is super cheap compared to buying them live and I sell some but it still doesn't pay for itself and I will breed for the fun of it and to make new combos and to trade for stuff that I don't have. That is just me and my opinion.
