OK, here is what I got going on. When i hold onto Hissy, I sometimes feel rough scales on the under side of her body. When i look at her, i don't see anything. It sorta feels like the scales are sort of pulled back the wrong way but like i said, i can't SEE anything. I can't imagine that it would be scale rot because her substrate is completely dry & her humidity has not been above 55% since she shed about a week ago. I am starting to feel a few more, it seems, each time i pick her up but still, i just cannot see anything!!! It is not only confusing me but obviously concerning me. Any ideas??

    A little bit worried

I feel this too in Jojo. This is what i think. When a snake in this case a python moves it uses locamotion. As the snake moves along the scales on the underside of its body are angled backwards to grip the ground and help push the snake along. This happens when Jojo is slipping off my arms. When you have him in your hand they move by griping your arm. But what you feel are the scales angled backwards.
    Thanks,
    Damien

I really hope that you're right Damien! I am a super huge worry wart when it comes to the health of my girl & I don't wanna have anything go wrong so i wanted to try to make sure that it wasn't sumthin that i couldn't figure out. Like I said, hopefully you are right. If anyone else could chime in that would be fantastic & greatly appreciated by both Damien & myself I am sure!

Not to worry man it really is just how they move. Like for example pick up your snake and look at the belly scales you can lift them a little bit as proof that they slip up for added grip. Plus its not like your feeling it in the same spot your feeling it when shes moving through your hands and stuff. But if you wanted you could always go to the Vet for they're opinion.

The guys are exactly right, Eddie. And the bigger the snake gets, the more noticeable it will be. If you've ever felt a heavy burm moving over your hands, it can sometimes feel like a mild cheese grater.
