he is eating it underwater playing anaconda

a groce smell is really bad and broken limbs also are a red flag. one raises questions if its rotten or not or what is going on, if it exceeds a faint rhodent smell and potentially a faint rhodent poop smell (like in rat racks due to be cleaned out), its quite worrying. the other issue raises questions on how the rhodents were kept and treated.

but rats do have quite a range of motion and when freshly killed there just isnt any muscle tension, so them being in rather random positions when frozen seems normal to me. its to be expected. rats can easily scratch the back of their heads with their hind legs. so frozen dead rats can easily be in weird yoga positions, even if no forces were applied and all has been done correctly, just by putting 20 into a bag and gently massaging the bag into a proper dense and stackable shape. i would not worry about that aspect. its merely about optics, not an actual problem, and the solution, if one is needed, is to arrange the dead rhodents before freezing. These 3d puzzle like rat bricks may seem kinda groce, but it says nothing about quality, its just packaging.
The Big Bang almost certainly (beyond reasonable doubt) happened 13.7 billion years ago. If you disagree, send me a PM.
Evolution is a fact, evolutionary theory explains why it happens and provides four different lines of evidence that coalesce to show that evolution is a fact. If you disagree, send me a PM.
One third of the global economy relies on technology that is based on quantum mechanics, especially quantum electrodynamics (electron-photon or electron-electron interactions). If you disagree, send me a PM.
Time Dilation is real, it is so real that all clocks if they are precise enough can measure it, and GPS could not possibly work without it.

The 4 philosophically most important aspects of modern science are: Evolutionary theory, Cosmology, Quantum mechanics, and Einsteins theory of general relativity. Understand these to get a grip of reality.

Buying rodents in small quantities will really add up if you have more than a few snakes. Petco and Petsmart would cost a ton verses what I paid through RodentPro(I always bought during sales with their coupon). Now I'm using BulkMice here in Houston and saving on doing which is really saving me money.

Like another said. Getting frozen rodents in strange positions is just part of it. If you don't like it straighten it out after it thaws. I promise you your snake could care less.

Ditto, got smalls, larges, and jumbos for my boa girls. Saved $45 in shipping, and unlike the OP's experience I've never had a thawed feeder from them smell like anything except mildly like a rat.

Yeah, he stayed in his water bowl for a good 15 mins like that! I kept checking to make sure he wasn't drowning himself! This is the first time he decided to do that but for a bee he has no discernible wobble and eats like a champ

I have never had frozen rodents which smelt like that before but it really made the bee go for it! I had to feed as I had no other rodents and 2 of them are on that size
