    New lens!

So, I'm a bit of a camera nerd and I'm taking photography right now. My newest project has a lot of work where I'm going to need up close detail shots and while my current lens kit is good, I just can't get the detail I need for prints. Soooo I got a canon 100mm f2,8 macro it's coming on saturday.

I'm pretty excited for this lens, it's easily the best out of my three (well, now four) lens, and while it was a school project that prompted the purchase, I've been wanting to play with a macro for ages and I'm excited to be able to use one this good!

Nice, I have an old 90mm f/2.5 manual macro lens that I use on my Sony. I wish I could get a modern macro in this size for mine.

Really nice! A nice macro lens and telephoto is all that I'm missing from my lens collection, so I'm definitely envious. Once I get my snake, I may just have to cave and go for it. What other lenses do you have?

By the way, saw that you mentioned school and that you're in Corvallis. OSU? Saying hi from UO

    Yup I'm at OSU Hello!

I have the 18-50 IS USM, 55-250 II IS USM, and the 40mm STM. I use my telephoto and pancake the most by far and the pancake usually lives on my camera. It's so light! And for the money (150!!) it's a great lens.
